Dr Shobana S Mallya has obtained her MBBS and (Diploma Ophthalmology) from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore and DNB Ophthalmology from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. She has professional registration and affiliation with the DHA, MOH and is a member of the AIOS ( All India Ophthalmological Society) and KOS(Karnataka Ophthalmological society).
She has vast experience in the field of ophthalmology of over 19 years in various hospitals and medical colleges in India and also in Bahrain. Apart from teaching undergraduate and paramedical healthcare professionals and surgical training for post graduates, she has been actively involved in health promotion and screening camps in India. She has obtained Contact lens practice training from the esteemed L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and a Short-term Phacoemulsification Fellowship from K B Haji Bachoo Ali charitable Ophthalmic and ENTHospital, Mumbai.
